- Abdominal swelling and signs of urinary and bowel obstruction in large fibroids.
Cause
Immunological factors play a role. Exact cause is not known.
Findings
Scan shows the size and location of fibroids clearly.
Treatment Medical
1. Depot preparations of gonadotrophin agonist injections will reduce the size of fibroids.
Surgical:
Laparoscopic myomectomy can be done to remove fibroids that are intra mural orsubserosal.
Hyteroscopic myomectomy can be done for submucosal fibroids.
